Jim Blockey is a retired schoolteacher, pastor, husband, and community leader who has devoted his life to serving families and helping young people find hope and direction.
After decades in the classroom and in ministry, Jim has seen how bad policies and weak leadership have hurt Nevada families.
He is running for Congress to restore common sense, protect children, and give the people of Nevada’s 1st Congressional District a voice that truly represents them.

For many years, Jim taught in the classroom, working directly with students and parents.
He has seen firsthand how bureaucracy and political agendas have pushed academics aside and made it harder for teachers to actually teach.
As a pastor and mentor, Jim has walked with young people through some of the hardest moments of their lives — family breakdowns, identity struggles, and the impact of a culture that often seems designed to tear them down instead of lift them up.
Those years on the front lines of education and ministry are why Jim is so passionate about protecting children, defending parental rights, and returning schools to their true purpose: teaching students how to think, not what to think.
