Education & Parental Rights

As a retired teacher, Jim has seen firsthand how far our schools have drifted from their true purpose. America now ranks among the lower tier of developed nations in educational performance despite spending more per student than nearly every other country. The problem is not funding — it is misplaced priorities.

For years, LAWA Democrats have pushed ideology into the classroom while removing parents from the decision-making process. Children are falling behind in reading, writing, math, and science because academic excellence has taken a back seat to political agendas.

Public schools have no moral right to educate children against Christian beliefs — and there is an argument they have no legal right to do so either.

When the Supreme Court removed state-sponsored prayer from schools in Abington School District v. Schempp (1963), the Court made something very clear. Justice Tom Clark, writing for the majority, stated:

“The government is to be neutral… in matters of religious theory, doctrine, and practice.” — Abington v. Schempp, 374 U.S. 203 (1963)

Neutral means exactly that — stay out of it.

It does not mean attacking Christianity.

It does not mean replacing faith with ideology.

And it does not mean teaching children values that contradict their families’ beliefs.

If schools actually followed the Court’s neutrality requirement, America’s classrooms would be far stronger. Removing political and immoral agendas would reduce waste, lighten the burden on teachers, and give students more time to learn the basics — reading, writing, and math.

Jim believes:

Parents have the final say in their children’s education — not bureaucrats and not activists.
Schools must return to teaching basics, not indoctrinating children with adult political viewpoints.
Transparency in curriculum is non-negotiable — no hidden lessons and no secret policies.
Schools should follow a standard of true neutrality, not hostility toward faith or traditional values.
America’s children should come first — not foreign governments receiving billions while U.S. students go hungry or fall behind.
As your Congressman, Jim will fight for a Parents’ Bill of Rights, academic-focused education, and local control that puts students and families ahead of ideology and federal overreach.

Crime, Safety & Supporting Law Enforcement

Crime has risen in cities across America because leaders have chosen politics over public safety. For years, LAWA Democrats have undermined police, weakened penalties for violent offenders, and created an environment where criminals feel protected and law-abiding citizens feel abandoned.

Jim believes every family deserves to feel safe in their home, in their neighborhood, and in their daily routine — without fear. Public safety is a basic responsibility of government, and when leaders refuse to enforce the law, communities pay the price.

Jim will work to strengthen our justice system to ensure the guilty pay their debt to society while making sure the innocent go free. Prosecutors who hide evidence of innocence or abuse their power must face consequences themselves.

Jim will fight to:

Restore full support and respect for law enforcement.
Ensure violent offenders face real consequences, not revolving-door justice.
Protect victims and communities instead of catering to criminals.
Combat drug trafficking and human trafficking at the source.
Expand mental-health and addiction resources while still holding offenders accountable.
Safe communities are the foundation of strong communities. Jim will work to make Nevada a place where families can thrive without fear.

Economy, Inflation, Taxes & Spending

Nevadans are being crushed by inflation, high food prices, rising housing costs, and out-of-control government spending. While families stretch every dollar, Washington continues sending billions overseas and expanding federal programs that don’t help working Americans.

Jim believes we must put the needs of American families before the demands of federal bureaucracy and foreign governments.

He will fight for:

Lower taxes on working families and seniors.
Reducing inflation by cutting reckless and wasteful spending.
Supporting small businesses instead of overregulating them.
Expanding job opportunities and economic mobility.
Energy independence to lower fuel and utility costs.
Prosperity begins with stability — and stability begins when Congress stops wasting money and starts respecting taxpayers again.

Border Security & National Stability

A nation without secure borders is a nation without security. LAWA Democrats have turned the U.S. border into a political weapon, allowing millions of illegal crossings while ignoring the consequences for American families.

Uncontrolled immigration strains schools, hospitals, housing, wages, and public safety. It also fuels drug cartels, human trafficking networks, and the exploitation of vulnerable children.

Jim supports:

Securing and completing effective physical and technological barriers at the border.
Increasing manpower and resources for Border Patrol and immigration enforcement.
Prioritizing lawful immigration that strengthens our communities and economy.
Quick deportations for criminal aliens who threaten public safety.
Tough penalties for drug and trafficking operations that prey on the vulnerable.
America is compassionate — but compassion requires order. We must secure the border to secure our nation’s future.

Children & Ending Hunger in America

America should be the greatest place in the world to raise a family — yet children across the country go hungry every day while Congress sends billions overseas.

Jim believes no child in the United States should suffer from hunger, especially while foreign nations receive endless aid.

He will work to:

Prioritize feeding American children over unnecessary foreign spending.
Expand partnerships with local food banks, community groups, and faith-based programs.
Support parental stability through better jobs and safer communities.
Ensure every child has access to nutrition, safety, and opportunity.
A strong nation takes care of its own families first. That is Jim’s commitment.

Foreign Spending & America-First Priorities

Washington has lost sight of who they work for. Politicians send billions of taxpayer dollars to foreign countries while ignoring the needs of seniors, veterans, children, struggling families, and underfunded law enforcement here at home.

Jim believes in a simple principle: America comes first. Always.

He will fight to:

Cut unnecessary and unaccountable foreign aid.
Require transparency and strict oversight for all international spending.
Redirect funds to American priorities — education, safety, jobs, and infrastructure.
Strengthen national defense while avoiding endless, unnecessary wars.
America’s resources must serve American citizens before foreign governments.

Protecting Faith, Family & American Values

Our nation is strongest when families are strong, communities are united, and faith is respected. LAWA Democrats have worked to divide Americans by attacking traditional values, undermining faith in the public square, and pushing politics into every aspect of life.

Jim believes every American deserves the freedom to worship, raise their children, and live according to their moral beliefs without government interference.

Jim will defend:

Freedom of religion, not forced silence about faith.
The role of faith and moral conviction in public life.
The rights of parents to guide their children’s moral and educational upbringing.
Respect for life, family, and personal responsibility.
A strong America requires strong values — and Jim will stand firm for the values that built this country.

Government Accountability & Ending LAWA Control

Nevada’s 1st Congressional District deserves a representative who works for the people — not special interests, political activists, or party bosses.

The LAWA movement — the Liberal Agenda to Weaken America — has taken control of the Democratic Party and turned Congress into a machine focused on controlling speech, undermining parental rights, weakening law enforcement, and prioritizing global politics over American needs.

Jim will fight to:

Rein in federal agencies that overreach their authority.
Restore accountability and transparency in Congress and federal programs.
Expose and stop ideological agendas that harm American families.
Protect free speech and constitutional rights for all Americans.
Bring power back to the people of Nevada, not Washington elites.
