A Dangerous Constitutional Amendment for Nevada
Jim Blockey is a pro-life candidate, but that is not the only reason he is voting against Question 6.
Question 6 is bad law and should not be passed because it is dangerous to women. Question 6 could put women’s lives in danger.

How Question 6 Could Put Women in Danger
Who Can Perform Abortions?
FACT: Currently, you must be a doctor to perform an abortion. This amendment to the constitution allows almost anyone to perform an abortion. There is no provision requiring proper medical training.
Question 6 allows anyone with basic training to perform an abortion, including:
• Pharmacists
• Nurses
• Medical technicians of any kind
• Veterinarians
• Others with basic training

What Happens If a Woman Is Injured?
FACT: Nothing.
If a woman is permanently injured or dies during the procedure, the person who performed the abortion can continue performing abortions. The bill does not allow government intervention, which means the injured person would not have access to the courts because that could be considered government interference.

Can the Government Regulate Abortion Providers?
FACT: No.
No government intervention means:
• No regulation
• No government oversight
• No ability for the state to intervene
Even if several women were to die from abortions, the Nevada Constitution would prevent the government from intervening.

Can Parents Protect Minor Children?
FACT: They cannot.
This constitutional amendment strips parents of their ability to protect their minor children.

Who Can Receive an Abortion Under Question 6?
FACT: Anyone.
Question 6 changes the wording in the law. Instead of using the word “woman,” it states “anyone.” The amendment does not limit abortion to women.

Protect Nevada — Vote NO on Question 6
Based on these facts, Question 6 is bad for Nevada.
It makes no difference whether you are pro-life or pro-choice — this law is dangerous.
Abortion is already legal in Nevada up to six months. Voting NO on Question 6 does not change current law.
It simply prevents a dangerous law from taking effect.
